It is a great honor to receive your generous United Firefighters of Los Angeles City Fire Foundation Scholarship that will help fund the expenses of my education at Southern University in New Orleans. I am most grateful for your belief and support, and I would like to thank you for choosing me as one of your candidates to receive the scholarship. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community.

This quote means a lot to me because of the hard work I have put in on my journey to becoming a nurse. The road has not been an easy one, but I am proud to admit that my perseverance has led me to pursue many opportunities offered at Southern University in New Orleans. As my nursing director, Dr. Smith reminds us repeatedly that nursing takes heart, my first semester has definitely shown me how much heart I have and the amount of dedication I put into my work to prove that I can be who I strive to be. Receiving this scholarship will allow me to continue chasing my dreams. Your earnest investment in my future goals will not be forgotten.
